Michael Cirillo keynote speaker in Amsterdam and antwerp

9 years after his first visit to speak to dealer owners and senior leaders, Michael Cirillo returns to Amsterdam to keynote two back-to-back seminars presented by #DCDW (Digital Car Dealer Workshop) and popular marketplace, Marktplaats.

The emphasis of the seminar will be about ways to stand apart from the competition, a topic that Michael enjoys educating the dealer community about. “The market is more saturated than ever before, and dealers are looking for creative ways to stand out from the competition.” During his interactive keynotes, Michael will have attendees participate in several activities that encourage them to put what they learn into immediate action.

Knowledge isn’t power until you know what to do with it.

It turns out that the old addage, “Knowledge is power,” is incomplete. Simply knowing about a topic without any practical experience doesn’t inspire forward movement. “It’s like sitting in a rocking chair,” says Cirillo, “lots of motion, but no movement.”

The world doesn’t need anymore walking encyclopedias, and neither does the car business. We need operators at every level who understand what needs to be done, and can go out and do it.

Standing out in a cluttered market is possible.

In 2014 Michael wrote his bestseller, “Don’t Wait, DOMINATE!” in which he discusses ways in which car dealers can separate themselves from the “noise” in the world. There are many distractions that compete for the customers’ attention, and dealers often find themselves saying and doing the same things as their competitors.

During Michael’s visit, he will guide attendees through a roadmap that will assist them in showcasing what makes them unique — leveraging tools and resources that they already have at their disposal.

Michael suggests, “Innovation is about taking what already exists and packaging it in a way that streamlines a workflow or makes a process easier.” Often we misinterpret the term innovation to mean invention — the idea of creating a whole new concept that has never existed before.

We speak about companies like Uber and Airbnb as if they invented ride-sharing and lodging. The reality? They assembled existing resources into new workflows that streamlined the process for the customer.

Uber did not invent the internet. They did not invent ride-sharing, payment processing, mobile apps, or vehicles. They took all of those existing resources and creating a process that anyone could hire a ride with ease.

The same innovation is available for car dealerships around the world. When we look critically at the resources available, we can assemble them into an efficient workflow that makes the customer’s life easier and the buying journey more enjoyable.

During Michael Cirillo’s DCDW seminar, it’s all up for grabs as he details exactly how dealers can do it in the European market.
